The UAE’s moon-sighting committee will convene on Thursday, April 20, 2023, to determine the exact dates of Eid.
If the crescent moon is visible on Thursday, April 20, 2023, the first day of Eid will be Friday, April 21, 2023. The private sector will enjoy holidays from Thursday, April 20, 2023, to Sunday, April 23, 2023.
However, if the crescent moon is not visible on Thursday, April 20, 2023, the first day of Eid will be Saturday, April 22, 2023. The private sector will enjoy holidays from Thursday, April 20, 2023, to Monday, April 23, 2023.
Public sector employees will enjoy holidays from Thursday, April 20, 2023, to Monday, April 23, 2023, and they will have a five-day break.
Eid Al Fitr holidays have been announced for private and non-profit sectors in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has said in a post that the Eid Al Fitr holiday will begin Friday, April 21, 2023, and end on Monday, April 24, 2023. Regular business will start on Tuesday, April, 25, 2023.
Kuwait’s Cabinet announced that the Eid Al Fitr holiday at all ministries, governmental bodies, and institutions would be from April 21, 2023, to April 25, 2023.
“Work will resume on April 26, while agencies with a special nature will determine their Eid holiday by the competent bodies to take into consideration the public interest, according to the Cabinet,” the Kuwait News Agency said in a tweet.
According to the Oman Observer, Oman has scheduled Eid Al Fitr holidays for workers in the public and private sectors from Thursday, April 20, 2023, to Monday, April 24, 2023. The five-day weekend is expected for staff, and work will resume on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
